Pipe-9 Surf Company was founded on a simple idea: quality surf gear shouldn’t cost a fortune just because it has a big-name logo on it.
Like many surfers, I grew tired of paying premium prices for products that often came from the same factories as lesser-known brands. That’s why Pipe-9 was created—to provide high-quality surf and outdoor products at prices that make sense. Our mission is straightforward: source quality products responsibly, keep costs low, and pass those savings directly to our customers.
Where Did the Name Come From?
Like many surfers, we had a local spot that felt like our own little slice of paradise. For years, it was mostly locals and a few dedicated weekend warriors enjoying uncrowded sessions and good times with friends. Around here, our crew called it “Pipe-9.”
It became more than just a surf spot—it represented the community, friendships, and passion for surfing that inspired this company. And as for exactly where it is? Let’s just say even if the secret is out, some things are better left to the locals.

We work hard to source products from many of the same factories used by major brands, provided they meet our standards for quality and responsible manufacturing. The difference isn’t the product—it’s the business model.
Instead of spending money on elaborate packaging, large corporate offices, and excessive overhead, we focus on what matters most: delivering quality gear at an affordable price. Less money spent on unnecessary extras means more value for the surfers, anglers, campers, and adventurers who use our products every day.
Built by Someone Who Lives the Lifestyle
Based in New Jersey, Pipe-9 is owned and operated by people who genuinely live the surf lifestyle. Our founder has been involved in competitive surfing since 2010, both as a competitor and through volunteering, organizing, and supporting surf events throughout the East Coast.
